These terms govern the use of Leaseform. By paying for a lease you agree to them.
A document prepared from the facts you enter and from statutory figures compiled for each state and the District of Columbia. You get one generated lease per payment. The price is $5 when the tenant is a person and $10 when the tenant is a company.
Leaseform is not a law firm, does not represent you, and does not review your situation. A city or county ordinance is often stricter than state law, and nothing here checks one. Have a lawyer licensed in the state of the property review the lease before you rely on it, particularly for rent control, just-cause eviction, and security deposit rules.
You are responsible for the names, amounts, and dates you enter. A lease is generated once and is not revised. If the result is wrong because of something you entered, the remedy is a new lease at the listed price.
The generated PDF and the order record are kept for 30 days from the moment the lease is generated, then deleted automatically. Download your copy. After deletion the order number no longer finds anything, and we cannot recover it.
A payment is refunded in full if no lease was generated, because the checkout failed or you never received the form. Once a lease has been generated the payment is for a completed document and is not refunded, except where the law where you live requires otherwise.
Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store card numbers. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment.
Do not enter information you have no right to use, and do not use a generated lease to misrepresent a tenancy. You are the author of the facts; we are the author of the form.
